Knitting is “in”
This year I think knitting fits in very well into what’s “in” for the fall/winter season….
What about scarves??? Well, are they “in” or “out”? We know the colored, fuzzy ones are yesterday – but I keep seeing long, drapey colorful scarves that are playing a very significant role in accessorizing. I think that scarves made in a lacey pattern out of silk or soft merino would fit in nicely this year.
Another thing – furry vests. Hadn’t we just finished purging them from our coat closets??? They seem to be back with a vengeance. Shades of Sonny Bono…. Will you wear them?
Don’t you think our national uniform is morphing into jeans and black turtlenecks? I’m not going to fight it anymore… I’m going to add accessories that complement them. Please visit my website to see some of the projects and yarns. I’m adding yarns and patterns every week.
Right now I’m working on a little girl’s coat made out of pink Rico Pompon – it’s decadent! When I tried it on my “model” she gave the best endorsement – said she wanted to cuddle in it all day. Here’s where I am so far with my jacket design..
